This upcoming Autism Awareness event in Cooper City will be fun for the whole family. It is free of cost and there is food and goodies for those who attend. The kids always think that the emergency vehicles are “too cool.”

A Community Autism Awareness Day for the City of Cooper City is planned for Saturday, April 10, 2010, 11:00A.M. at the Cooper City Fire Station #28 located at 10550 Stirling Rd , Cooper City . The City of Cooper City will be hosting an Open House for Cooper City Residents with developmental disabilities and their families.
Representatives from the BSO Department of Fire Rescue and Emergency Services and BSO Department of Law Enforcement will be on hand to meet individuals and their families, allowing them to become accustomed to seeing these wonderful service providers in full uniform, as well as offering the opportunity to enter their emergency vehicles.
Free refreshments will be served!
Collaborative efforts by the Broward Sheriff’s Office Department of Fire Rescue and Emergency Services Cooper City District 28, Broward Sheriff’s Office Department of Law Enforcement Cooper City District 16, Broward County Professional Fire Fighters Local 4321, Autism Society of America, UM-Nova Southeastern Center for Autism and Related Disabilities, the Kiwanis Club of Cooper City and the City of Cooper City have all partnered to make this special day possible.
